- After Replacing a Fuse:
- Some light bulbs may need replacing if they do not work after fuse replacement.
- If a replaced fuse blows again, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized dealer.
- Warning:
- Never replace a fuse with one of a higher amperage rating or substitute it with a wire.
- Do not modify the fuse or fuse box.
- Light Bulb Replacement (Pages 59–61):
- Turn on all light switches to test bulbs.
- Replace bad bulbs with ones of identical type and wattage.
- Check the light beam direction after replacement.
- Guidelines:
- Use proper handling (avoid touching the glass with bare hands).
- Do not allow moisture or grease to contaminate bulbs.
- Examples of Bulb Ratings:
- Front combination light (Hi/Lo‑beam): 35W*2, White
- Front combination light position: 5W, White
- Front combination light turning: 10W, Amber
- Side turning light: 5W*2, Amber
- Rear combination light (stop/position): Combined LED light
- Rear combination light turning: 16W, Amber
- Rear fog light and reverse light combination: 21W/21W, Red/White
- License plate light: 3W*3, White
- Adjustment of Light Beam:
- The “A” adjustment for vertical beam projection and “B” adjustment for horizontal beam projection.
19.13 Battery Maintenance (Page 62)
- Inspection and Care:
- Check terminals for corrosion and ensure connections are secure.
- Standard AGM maintenance‑free batteries do not require electrolyte checks.
- Warnings:
- Do not attempt light bulb replacement immediately after turning off headlights as bulbs may be very hot.
- Follow proper safety procedures when handling battery chemicals.
- Ensure proper ventilation while charging the battery.
- The emergency power disconnect should be pulled out while charging.
- Maintenance:
- Charge batteries within 24 hours after each use regardless of mileage.
- Never connect the positive and negative terminals together.
- Always replace batteries with Atomic EV batteries of the same type.
19.14 Motor and Rear Axle Maintenance (Pages 62–63)
- Motor Maintenance:
- Check vents around the traction motor; clean to prevent overheating.
- Rear Axle Maintenance:
- Remove mud and dust from the rear axle breathing plug regularly.
- Check filling hole bolt and drain bolt for leakage; tighten/replace gasket if needed.
- Clean the breath plug and check the gear oil level every 1000 miles.
- Check the left and right axle tubes for firmness; tighten U-shaped bolt every 1000 miles.
- Warning:
- For battery replacement or major axle repairs, consult an authorized dealer.
- Oil Replacement:
- Replace axle oil after the initial 250 miles and every 750 miles thereafter. (Oil capacity: 0.6 L)
